We had a lot of fun at the Woodland Park Zoo. I have always enjoyed the zoo, ever since I was little I remember going to the San Diego Zoo and being fascinated by seeing all the animals. When my husband and I were first married I remember going to the San Diego Zoo for the first time together. We approached the flamingo exhibit and I got so excited. “Look, at the FLAMINGOS!!!!” I shouted with excitement. My husband just stared at me and then at the flamingos. I thought, “Hmm, I wonder why he’s not as excited, I’m sure he’ll love the elephant’s.” We get to the elephant’s. “REAL LIVE ELEPHANTS, check them out!!!” I look over at my husband and not even a spark of excitement. I finally realized that he just isn’t that into the animals. It’s pretty much once you’ve seen it lets move to the next exhibit, while on the other hand I love staring at the animal for a while and even taking the time to read the little sign that gives an explanation about the animal. At least once I have kids I’ll have someone else to share my love of the zoo right? Well Lena is pretty much just like her daddy. She sees the monkeys, tigers, hippos and just looks as if she’s staring at a crow or any other animal that you see every day. I’m glad Lena and her daddy come with me to the zoo and let me get excited and I still love going with them. Maybe Dane will be an animal lover. Any suggestions on how to get him really in to animals?
