About me

My first and most important calling in life is a mother and a wife. I love my family more than words can describe. Each day I get to spend with them is a perfect day. Through my photography I am able to capture pieces of our lives that bring us joy. I think about families sitting down together, going through old photo albums and how I hope my pictures will bring back memories and always make people smile.

Photography began for me as I looked through pictures my Dad had taken when he lived in England for two years. I remember staring at the giant slide projection on the wall and feeling like I was actually there. My Dad had an artistic eye, his shots were gorgeous and fell in love with his pictures. He used an old 35 mm vivtar camera and he said I could use it for my first photography class which I took in middle school. I loved black and white photography and learned a lot about exposure from a film camera. I continued photography in High School and entered many photo contests in which I took first prize. I will never forget winning grand prize at the balboa park museum of champions. I won prize money and bought my own 35 mm. I took photography all four years of high school and even had to get special permission to take it the last year because there wasn’t really a class offered. I kind of strayed away from photography my first few years of college. After getting married and then six months later having my first baby a digital camera was a must. My husband bought me the canon rebel and I found myself passionate about photography again. Through BYU-Idaho’s  nursing program  I would relieve stress by taking my daughter out and photographing her. I also took a photography class on lighting while in nursing school. One of my friends in Nursing School found out that I was into photography and asked if I would photograph her sisters wedding. I was really excited about it and said I’d love to. After photographing some  friends weddings, second shooting with some amazing professional photographers I put in a lot of hard work to starting my own business. I am so glad that I came back to what I have always loved.
